About Our Company

The Archaeological Resource Management Corporation (ARMC), founded in 1977 by Marie G. Cottrell (1948-2023), specializes in providing archaeological, paleontological, and historical consulting services to public agencies and private industries. ARMC works to support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), and mitigation requirements. With staff affiliated with the Society of Professional Archaeologists (SOPA) and the Register of Professional Archaeologists, ARMC satisfies the requirements of any lead agency.

The original owners of ARMC, which started September 3, 1977 in the State of the California. The original elected officers were Marie Cottrell. She was the president/owner. The vice president was Clay Singer. The secretary/treasurer was Francis Cope.

In 1989, Carol Demcak made a pivotal move by acquiring the company shares, officially becoming the owner of ARMC. Her leadership marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company, driving growth, innovation, and a renewed vision for the future.

In 2022 Hugo Lozano assumed the role of president, bringing his vision, leadership, and dedication to the position. He has worked tirelessly to drive progress, implement innovative strategies, and build a stronger future. His tenure continues to shape the organization to this day.

Our Projects

ARMC has completed numerous projects in the following counties, Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino. We are equipped with various field and laboratory tools for archaeological and paleontological work such as Juniper Uinta. We maintain dedicated facilities for analyzing and storing cultural resources, historic artifacts, and fossils.
